Revitalize the Camp Challenge
Come out and get to know us. This event will parallel the good work we will be doing at the camp, and will include fun events, prayer, and a lot of hard work... but we can't set a date until we raise the funds, as this event will serve as our capital campaign.

About the Event
At Ebenezer Camp and Learning Center (ECLC), we are going to be transforming lives, with the help of God and the Body of Christ (1 Cor 12:27), but first we have to raise the funds and revitalize the property. Â We are calling on all who have loved and been touched by our facility to help to bring it back! Â If we can get only 250 people (the current state outdoor event limit) to raise a minimum of $500 indivdually toward this event, we will have the funds to purchase the facility and put on an event you'll never forget. Â We are a new nonprofit organization in PA and are working toward 501c3 status.
This camp has been vacant for 20 years. Â There is a cost to purchase the facility, to replace the roof on the tabernacle, and to get all of the facilities in usable condition. Â Although things are in extreme disrepair and may appear desolate, we serve a big God, and with Him, there is always hope!
The Revitalize the Camp Challenge
Imagine 250 people split into teams, for a paintball tournament at an abandoned camp! Â After the game, some prayer, and some lunch, the teams will work together to demolish and gather unsalvagable pieces of the remaining wreckage for disposal, To finish off the evening, after dinner, we'll celebrate, and grieve what had been lost with a bonfire big enough to satisfy social distancing requirements! Participants will camp together, coming with friends, family, coworkers, or teens who need to reonnect with reality, and disconnect from technology, all while gaining volunteer experience!
After a long fun day, the group can camp in tents and rest up for another day of fun, lessons that will parallel the vision for the camp, and more hard work. The week may include an opporunity for ATV rides, hiking, obstacles, painting and other fun activities. Â We want you to leave a piece of yourself at the camp and remember to come back, a part of our family. Â You can connect to others who love adventure as you overcome the challenge of restoring a place that remains dear to so many.
Your hard work will not only help us to rebuild a place with amazing history, it will help us to build God's kingdom. Â We are going to be honoring a calling to love our neighbors (Mark 12:29). ECLC is founded on the idea that all fall short. We frequently struggle to love those who are less loveable, when they need our support more than anyone. Â We will host many events to follow this one that will allow us to bring back a community atmosphere and support programs that restore families.
By registering you are agreeing to raise $500 prior to the time of the event (we're shooting for about a 6 month time frame and will give 3 months notice for a specific start date in late spring 2021). Â This will cover a week of food, friends, camping, team building, adventure and full restoration of the facility. If you cannot raise the amount before the time of the event, your credt card will be charged the remaining donation. Â Will you accept the challenge?
Make no mistake, this week will take a lot out of you. Â You will have fun, food, community, and hard work. Â We need people with and without skills. Â Anyone who cannot attend the challenge week is still invited to participate in raising funds or volunteering, as we have a long journey ahead of us. Â Without seeing the state of the camp, many business people have said of this vision, "it's a major undertaking". Â To them I reply, "have you met my God?".
